I have worked with clients from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States. I treat adolescents to adults, helping to address the different challenges that arise throughout the course of life from depression and anxiety, to helping clients overcome trauma and find their purpose.
My aim is providing the best therapeutic experience through higher levels of quality and care where your totality of health is optimised through ethical therapeutic practises and science-based modalities.
I believe that there are seven dimensions to a person's well-being: the physical, nutritional, emotional, mental, spiritual, social and professional/academic. When I tailor a support plan, I look into these aspects of a client's lifestyle and see what areas need to be addressed. My approach stems from the belief that you ou are not only your emotions. You are not only your thoughts. The integration of Mind, Emotions and Body is necessary in your overall well-being. I believe in creating the best outcomes and overall therapeutic experience based on these fundamental values.
I treat the person and not the disorder. I prefer a more responsive approach that is not limited by the diagnosis. A diagnosis focuses to the patterns and constellations of signs and symptoms, rather than the person themselves. I view all of your challenges as human: common with everyone in varying degrees, varying manifestations of symptoms and varying forms of suffering, presenting at different times during and part of life's journey of challenges that we all experience.
My mental health philosophy is that therapy should not only be able about symptom management. A person's presenting problem - whether this is depression, anxiety, unhealthy relationships or other concerns - is often symptomatic of an underlying issue. I help clients to explore what this underlying issue is to see improvements in all areas of their life.
Therefore, I believe that lasting change stems from pursuing the root cause and not only treating the symptoms. Consequently, I will help you to gain meaningful insight into YOU.
