Ko Teik Yen
Mindfulness & Hypnotherapy Practitioner
A mindfulness practitioner and clinical hypnotherapist working with clients worldwide: integrative care that builds the life skills to carry you well beyond therapy.
Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
About Ko
Ko has worked with clients aged 14 to 70 from around the world, across America, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Australia, China, Singapore and Malaysia. That work spans depression, anxiety and phobias, as well as long-term chronic pain, cancer survivorship and psychosomatic pain.
The approach is integrative, shaped by your symptoms, life stage and preferences. It draws on present-oriented therapies such as sensory-somatic and mindfulness-based work, past-oriented approaches like ego-state therapy and inner-child healing, and future-oriented methods including solution-focused therapy and clinical hypnosis.
What you take away is meant to last: self-awareness, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Ko practises what is taught, too: a keen ultra-marathoner who weaves mindfulness and nature into daily life.
An accredited Breathworks Mindfulness Teacher, trained in MBCT and MBSR, and a teaching supervisor for a mindfulness clinical-research programme at University Malaya Medical Centre.
