Sharan Kaur
Relationship & Family Counsellor
A relationship and family counsellor with over twenty years' practice, and a firm belief that therapy works on the strength of the bond between you and your counsellor.
Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
About Sharan
Sharan works with adults from all walks of life on anxiety, depression and stress-related concerns, but her heart is in relationships: building and improving every kind of bond, from couples and the LGBTQ+ community to parent-child relationships and whole family systems.
Her individual work is person-centred and grounded in genuine self-acceptance, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness and emotion-focused therapy. Over a long career she has found marital discord sitting quietly beneath many emotional difficulties, and gives it particular, skilful attention.
With more than twenty years in the field (and almost thirty years raising a family of her own), she brings real warmth and depth. She meets you as a person first, in the belief that the relationship between client and counsellor is what makes therapy work.
Masters in Counselling (Universiti Malaya) and an LLB (University of London). A registered counsellor with over twenty years in practice.
