About Dr Stephen
As Medical Director, Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, Dr Stephen looks past diagnostic labels like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia to the individual as a whole. What that means for you: care built around your life and needs, not a textbook category.
He draws on a range of methods: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR and Dialectical therapy, alongside Mental Calisthenic Therapy, an approach he developed himself. He chooses what fits you. He works with clients from adolescence through to later life, and because so many mental health struggles first take root in adolescence, he has a particular interest in younger clients, where prevention can matter as much as cure.
Trained at the University of Malaya (MMED & Fellowship) with expert training at the University of Melbourne. A longstanding member of the Malaysian Psychiatric Association.
