Trauma & PTSD

The past that keeps showing up in the present.

Trauma is what happens when an overwhelming experience stays lodged in the nervous system, intruding on the present long after the event. It can follow a single incident or build over years. Evidence-based therapy helps the past become the past.

By the numbers

~70%
of people will experience a traumatic event in their lifetime
5.6%
of those exposed go on to develop PTSD
3.9%
lifetime prevalence across the general population

WHO World Mental Health Surveys
