I have been a frontline clinician in acute and general psychiatry for over 20 years in Europe, Australasia and Asia. I was privileged to have worked with diverse and talented clients in England, Malaysia, Australia and Singapore.
I have a special interest in clinical phenomenology, psychopharmacology, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Effective and excellent treatment outcomes are commonplace in modern psychiatry and modern medicine, and I have been fortunate to work in psychiatry as medical advances have accelerated forwards in the last 30 years. In regards to psychotherapy, I believe in therapeutic optimism, unconditional positive regard, genuineness and empathetic listening.
During the first session, I will gather as much information I can about you: past and present experiences, as well as future goals. Your life experiences and cherished goals take top priority.
I believe in a balanced and holistic approach to healthy living. Nutrition, physical fitness and social events play a huge role in the mind-body connection. Enjoying life and work is a priority.
I speak fluent English and Malay, and simple Cantonese.
